4th Installment of the Street Racing Saga---The Fast and the Furious: Coming Soon

The original heroes of The Fast and Furious are getting behind the wheels again for the fourth installment of the street racing saga that is according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Vin Diesel now 40 and Paul Walker, 34 are now in talks to regain their respective roles as street gang leader Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner the undercover cop that was sent to take him down.

The 2001 blockbuster The Fast and Furious movie was directed by Rob Cohen and obtained around $207 million in worldwide ticket sales. Unfortunately for the 2003 sequel Diesel was not part of the cast leaving the Walker to be paired with John Singleton. The 2 Fast 2 Furious was also a big hit making $236 million in worldwide ticket sales.

Then Diesel was back in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift still with Walker playing the role of MIA but this time with the addition of Lucas Black who is also played as one of the main characters. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as expected and was only able to obtain a gross of $158 million worldwide.

The fourth edition just like the previous three Fast and Furious movies will still include hot cars and of course dirty deals. The writer and director tandem from the Tokyo Drift, Chris Morgan and Justin Lin are going to be part of the new film.

The schedule for the shooting could start as early as next spring in Los Angeles, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

For the fourth sequel I am excited to know what cars are going to be part of the movie. I wonder whether the new Lexus IS F sportscar with quality Lexus muffler will also be considered but of course one thing is sure that there’s going to be lots of super hot cars that will be shown and just for that I think the movie is worth waiting for.
